Dr. Tse Kwok Leung is Senior Research Fellow (Honorary) of Lau Chor Tak Institute of Global Economics and Finance (IGEF), The Chinese University of Hong Kong. Dr. Tse has over 30 years of experience in the banking industry, specializing in economic research. Before joining IGEF in 2021, he was Head of Economic Research Division at Bank of China (Hong Kong) during 2008-2019.
Dr. Tse is committed to serving the community with his professional knowledge. He has served as the economic advisor of Zhangzhou Municipal Government (Fujian Province) for 6 years, and also served on the committees of various chambers of commerce and industrial organizations in Hong Kong. He was the leader of the Academic Committee of the Chinese Banks’s Association during 2011-2019; a representative of Bank of China (Hong Kong) and the rotating chairperson of the Belt and Road Committee, The Hong Kong Association of Banks; and a member of the International Affair Committee and Taxation Committee, The Federation of Hong Kong Industries. He was also a member of the Greater Bay Area Working Group and the Belt and Road Working Group, The Hong Kong General Chamber of Commerce; and a member of the Academic Committee of Collaborative Innovation Center for Cooperation and Development between Hong Kong, Macau and the Mainland, Sun Yat-Sen University.
Dr. Tse was a member of the Pan-Pearl River Delta Committee of the Central Policy Unit of the Government of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region from 2008 to 2012 and served as a non-fulltime member of the Central Policy Unit of the Government of Hong Kong Special Administrative Region from 2013 to 2015.
Dr. Tse obtained his Ph.D. in Economics from the Department of Applied Economics, School of Management, Fudan University.
